Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Crissup is the senior optometrist and owner of Claremore Eye Associates. She joined her father, Dr. Steve Smith, in practice in 2009 and assumed full ownership of the practice upon his retirement in 2023.

Raised in Claremore, Dr. Crissup is excited to be a third-generation healthcare provider in the community. Her maternal grandfather, the late Dr. E. E. Lacy, was a longtime local chiropractor, further strengthening her family’s ties to healthcare in the area.

Dr. Crissup enjoys providing comprehensive eye care, along with specialties of dry eye and myopia management. She likes to consider both the medical and functional vision aspects of eye diseases, providing a solution for both medically indicated treatments along with optical solutions to help those with reduced vision function their best in their daily life. Dr. Crissup is passionate about preventative care, and the importance of lifestyle in maintaining long-term eye and whole body health.

Dr. Crissup graduated from Claremore High School and Oklahoma State University, then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry.

Dr. Crissup and her husband Derrick, a landman in Tulsa, have two children, Conner and Claire. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, cooking, shopping downtown Claremore, and spending time with her family at their small farm.
